Police brutality and racism Leads to the death of a black man while in Fort Myers Jail - The FBI investigates

FBI Investigates Lee County Florida Jails for police brutality that lead to the death of 5 inmates 3 of whom where mentally ill.

The most recent murder at the hands of the lee county police occurred in December of 2011 where a black male was beaten to death at the hands of 4 white officers. The witnesses have given their testimony to the FBI. The witnesses say that the areas where the mentally challenged are kept suffer the most abuse at the hands of the officers who work their.

Some of the testimonies given by the witnesses give detail accounts of inmates being beaten and having their hands and feet tied while being stripped naked and pepper sprayed repeatedly on their genitals, the witnesses say that while the brutal abuse is on going telephone and visitation privileges are denied to those inmates suffering this abuse.
